Asbestos removal

Our team was engaged to remove asbestos as part of a significant heritage refurbishment.

The Government House Wellington Conservation Project was completed March 2011 ahead of schedule after five years’ planning and work.

Harcourt Insulation 2006 Limited were hired by lead Contractor, LT McGuinness, to undertake the asbestos removal involved in this significant heritage refurbishment.

The then Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Susan Satyanand, moved out of House in late 2008 and the mammoth task of packing up the almost 100-year-old building began. Some 40,000 items were catalogued and removed.

This major project involved over 200 tradesmen and contractors. The project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
